Fernando Malo is a Spanish master artisan whose ceramic art is without peer and his bio includes over 90 individual and group exhibitions both within Spain and globally.
Born 1957 he is another graduate of the brilliant Massana School (81). In 1991 he began working on the Restoration of Artistic Heritage, making ceramic copies of Mudejar art for monuments such as the Aljafería, the Zaragoza Cathedral, the Utebo tower or the Alhambra in Granada. He is on the organizing committee of the CERCO International Ceramic Fair. Continuing his personal work and his didactic work specialized in Mudejar art.
Fernando Malo's creative work is inspired by the ancestral tradition of the land, primitive forms, sensitivity, interpretation of nature, union of technique and gesture. He uses high-temperature clays and self-produced glazes to create his pieces.
His aesthetics embodies and enmeshes the Islamic period in the Iberian Peninsula with new trends in contemporary ceramic art.
